On Wednesday the railway gave a talk to the Sutton Coldfield Railway Society on the history of our line and railways in the surrounding area, the preservation society’s achievements since the 1970’s, and our plans for the future. This was a really enjoyable evening, and a perfect way to introduce the railway before the society visits us in September.
On Thursday evening we welcomed scouts from the 1st Lilleshall and Muxton group, who attended to assist the railway whilst under the supervision of group leaders and volunteers. This was another great event. Everyone enjoyed themselves, and the scouts received their badges and enjoyed some cake once the activities had finished. There was no cake left for the volunteers!
Thank you to Shaun and Ben for the additional information used in this update.
