​MISSION STATEMENT

We at the Telford and Horsehay Steam Trust aim to return a heritage railway to the world heritage site of Ironbridge to recreate and preserve a part of our industrial and cultural past. This will allow future generations to experience and see first-hand how railways and industry combined to create an industrial landscape that moulded and shaped Great Britain. To achieve this we will welcome, support and encourage an active volunteer base of like-minded, passionate people who share our vision. We want to be an asset to the local community and to aid the economic well-being of Telford and Shropshire by providing a railway that the community and our partners can be pround of. To achieve this we want to develop skills and educate people from all walks of life to ensure that a lasting legacy remains for all.
