Volunteer Liaison Officer update
Permanent Way and Infrastructure Contractors are now on site leveling and preparing the ground to install new drainage between Horsehay & Dawley station and the Barrow Crossing. After many months of planning and preparation, this is the start of relaying track back to Doseley Halt which, depending on funds and volunteers, we hope to achieve within the next 3-5 years. Getting to Doseley will pretty much double the length of our running line to two miles, and will be a massive achievement for our railway, volunteers and supporters. If you can, your help and financial support towards this goal would be very welcome, and will us to achieve it much quicker. Pacers 144013, 142004 and 142058 All 3 Pacers were in action over the weekend at our popular Multiple Mayhem event. On Saturday, the last train saw 142004 and 142058 working in tandem to form a four car unit. This was the first time this had happened at Telford. 142058 is likely to be the unit in use when required, during the rest of the season. Class 108 Diesel Multiple Unit This unit was also in action over the weekend, and covered the bulk of the Sunday departures as this was the last time that the it will be in use on the railway this year. GWR 56XX 0-6-2 No. 5619 Repairs to this loco are progressing.
