Work continues on the storeroom in the tram yard. The roof and the walls have now been replaced, and the wooden facia boards cut ready to be fixed into place.
Lineside clearance continues along the line. This is starting to make a noticeable difference which is pleasing, because it has been very hot work during the recent warm spell of weather.
The station gardens are in full summer bloom, and are a credit to the hard work undertaken by our volunteer gardeners. Mowing off of grass areas continues on a weekly basis.
On Saturday we ran our second Fish ‘N’ chip special of the season. North British diesel hydraulic No. 27414 ‘TOM’ hauled the train, full of hungry passengers all eating their delicious fish and chips. Two trips of the line were made. We have received very positive feedback already and we will plan to run these again next year.
The next event is our Princess event on Saturday 15th July. Come aboard our heritage trains and meet some of your favorite fairytale characters.
