BR Class 37 diesel No. 37263

Is currently at the Severn Valley Railway, and will play a starring role in their Spring Diesel Gala running from 18th - 21st May.

Ruston and Hornsby diesel hydraulic No. 525947 “Rusty”

Work has started on dismantling the engine in order to identify the fault and start repairs

Permanent Way (P-Way)

The final panel of track between the Barrow Crossing and Horsehay and Dawley Station has been removed. We are now arranging for contractors to come onsite and start renewing the drainage along the track bed.

Lawley Station

Work has started again on making platform improvements.

Our Royal Special trains ran on Sunday and Monday to celebrate the King’s Coronation. We welcomed lots of visitors over the two days and also ran a very successful cream tea service on Sunday which was completely sold out.

We currently have an appeal to buy a new boiler for our narrow gauge steam tram. You can help us greatly by donating at

https://gofund.me/093e7130

As a thank you, we are offering rewards for certain levels of donations, although every single one is gratefully received and will help put our tram back into operation.

Please also consider supporting Telford Steam Railway through the Telford and Wrekin Community Lottery, which is open to anyone in the UK over 16 years old. This weekly draw gives you the opportunity to win prizes up to £25,000. Tickets cost £1 per week and 50p from each ticket sale goes directly to the railway.
