​Railway house is host to our 00 gauge and N gauge model Railways. The main Layout is the former Top Link Stafford Layout originally built by the late Tony Clarke along with a further five members of the Top Link Model Railway Group in Stafford. The layout was built over a period of two years. The layout was originally built in ten sections and was used at various exhibitions across the country from 1976. The layout arrived at the Telford Steam Railway in 1994. Extensive restoration of the layout was carried out by our volunteers to restore the layout to an operational standard, and over the last 27 years, the layout has been restored updated and maintained. The latest addition to Railway House is a small 6x2ft N gauge. This layout was constructed to demonstrate a simple and reasonably sized layout, and work is currently underway to modernise the layouts with Dual Control for Analogue and Digital Systems.
