Welcome back to the Telford Steam Railway! To help keep everyone safe, our services and facilities are slightly different to usual at the moment. Please read the below information and FAQs carefully before booking. TICKETS:

To help us maintain social distancing, all tickets will be on a first come first served basis. If the immediate service is full you will be placed on to the next available train.
Socially distanced seating is available in our 'open' carriages.
Socially distanced seating in our open carriages will cost £5 per person up a maximum of 4 people per seating bay.
Tickets are valid for one full round trip only. Your ticket also allows admission to the Model Railway at Railway House.
Passengers are required to follow current Government guidelines on meeting other people when booking.
DATES AND TIMES:
Services will operate on select weekends and bank holidays.
Trains will depart from our main station at Spring Village five times a day at 11:00, 12:00, 13:30, 14:30 and 15:30
Additional services may run depending upon demand for tickets only.
Please arrive at Spring Village Station in good time for your train.
Each round trip will last 30-40 minutes
Toilets (including accessible facilities) are available at Spring Village and Horsehay & Dawley Stations.
The Furnaces tearoom will be open for takeaway refreshments, serving a range of hot and cold drinks, crisps, chocolate and sweet treats.
The Freight Stop Gift Shop will be open with capacity limits in place.
Railway House Model Railway will be open with capacity limits in place.
The Phoenix 5 Inch Model Railway will be open on Sundays with capacity limits in place.
To help maintain social distancing queuing systems may be in place at the above locations and throughout the railway. Please be respectful of your fellow visitors and our volunteers at all times.
DO I HAVE TO BOOK IN ADVANCE? No. At present all tickets must be bought on the day of your visit.
HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN FIT ON A TABLE? Up to 4 People per table. Please be aware that it is your responsibility to ensure that your booking complies with any government restrictions at the time
IS MY TICKET VALID ALL DAY? No. At present all tickets are valid for ONE round trip from Spring Village only. We regret that our All Day Tickets are suspended until further notice.
ARE YOU COLLECTING DATA FOR CONTACT TRACING? Yes. We are proud to support the NHS Test & Trace service, and we will be retaining contact details of our customers, making them available to relevant public bodies as necessary. By booking with us, you will be consenting to us collecting and using your personal information for this purpose. Unless needed by public health bodies, all contact-tracing data will be securely destroyed 21 days after collection.
DO I HAVE TO WEAR A FACE COVERING? In line with current Government regulations, passengers aged 11 and over are required to wear face covering across many areas of our railway. Indoor spaces: It is currently mandatory to wear face coverings whilst in indoor public spaces. Station platforms: legislation currently requires the public to wear face coverings whilst on station platforms. Carriage corridors: Passengers must wear a face covering whilst in carriage corridors, ensuring that they maintain a 2 metre social distance from others wherever possible. Carriages: Face coverings must be worn at all times in line with Government legislation. Exemptions: Exemptions apply to children aged under 11 and those who are unable to wear a face covering because of a health condition or disability.
CAN I BRING A PICNIC? Yes. We have benches located at the back of Spring Village Yard. Feel free to use these for your picnic, ensuring that your group maintains a safe social distance from others at all time. Please dispose of any litter in the bins provided, or take it home with you.
