Join us for this Christmas experience unlike any other. Brought to you by your hosts Telford Steam Railway (TSRE21) . Your journey begins just like the 2004 Motion Picture where The Polar Express will pick you up to take you to the North Pole. You will get to meet lots of characters from the film including the conductor, the singing chefs, the hobo and of course the main man himself, 'Mr C'. You and your family, dressed in Pyjamas, will experience a fun filled theatrical train ride as you make your way to the ‘North Pole’.

Each individual ticket covers two seats. i.e 1 ticket = 2 seats.
There are two classes of travel, standard and premium. Premium class passengers will each receive the special limited edition ceramic POLAR EXPRESS™ mug and a POLAR EXPRESS™ bag for each pair of seats. All passengers will enjoy the same level of performance in both our Standard and Premium class carriages. Standard and Premium services are usually on different carriages, thus customers for each service will be seated in different carriages depending on the ticket type that has been purchased.
We ask passengers to arrive at the FREE Park and Ride from 1 hour prior to your boarding time, passengers will then be transported by FREE Shuttle Bus to Telford Steam Railway where there is pre-train entertainment, hot food and drink available for purchase and colouring/letter writing activities for children. You also have the opportunity to visit our fantastic model railway. There is no parking on site at Telford Steam Railway.
Whilst the train ride itself is around 1 hour long you can expect to be on site over two hours.

- Every passenger receives a delicious Cookie from our Dancing Chefs (dietary alternative available to pre order)
- Each passenger aged 3 and over receives a Hot Chocolate drink
- Every passenger will receive the First Gift of Christmas, a Silver Bell from Santa.
- Passengers aged two and under (have not reached their third birthday) do not require a ticket if they are seated on the lap of an adult
- Passengers aged three and over require their own seat, no exceptions can be made. ID confirmation may be requested.
