Rolling Stock

'Alan Keef' Hudson Ballast Wagon
Acquired by the Telford Development Corporation in 1979 for constructing the original Telford Town Tramway in the town centre. This wagon originally would have been a Hudson skip wagon but was converted to have wooden sides for transporting ballast.

We believe the wagon was supplied by Alan Keef Ltd as the company logo is painted on the frames. It is currently awaiting restoration to return it to service.
The wagon came to Telford with the rest of the tramway in 1986

Ownership : Telford Steam Railway

4-Wheeled Flat Wagon

Acquired by the Telford Development Corporation in 1979 for constructing the original Telford Town Tramway in the town centre. This origin of this wagon is unknown along with its original purpose. It appears to have once been braked, but it was cut off at some point. The wagon came to Telford with the rest of the tramway in 1986

It has recently been restored as a flat wagon for use on the demonstration freight service, with a new wooden base being constructed.

Ownership : Telford Steam Railway

Hudson 'Horsehay Works' Wagon

Acquired in 2022 from a private railway in South Wales, previously would have been a large Hudson Skip Wagon.

It has recently been restored as a flat wagon for use on the P-Way services and the demonstration freight service, with a new wooden base being constructed.

Ownership : Private
