10676 was built in 1982 at BR at Derby. The SLE code indicates sleeper if either class. Initially built for UK use, this vehicle was later used be Danish State Railway, which explains its unusual livery.
The coach is located in the rear yard, inside the narrow gauge tram track. The coach is used for storage and static volunteer accommodation when required. |

BR MK3A Convertible Sleeper Pantry SLEP No. 1054310543 was also built at Derby Works in 1982 to lot number 30960 and is identified as SLEP. Sleeper Either class with Pantry (SLEP) is a type of railway sleeper car. A total of 208 vehicles were built at Derby Litchurch Lane Works by British Rail Engineering Limited between 1982–1984 to the British Rail Mark 3A profile for British Rail. They were introduced to replace an ageing fleet of Mark 1 sleeper cars built to various designs and which dated from the late 1950s to early 1960s.
The coach arrived in 2022 as in situated in Spring Village Yard. The coach is used as the carriage and wagon storage. |
