Work continues on the rebuilding of the signal box at Horsehay & Dawley station. Bricklaying is now at the required window height at the front and Horsehay end. At the back and the Lawley end we are just seven courses short of the roof height. Blocks are now being laid insane and are halfway up the back of the box.
The ramp at Horsehay & Dawley has been weeded, and the railing cleaned. The ashpan repairs to GWR 56XX have started with panels cut and fitted. Further cleaning of the cab and motion has taken place. The steel for the carriage shed at Spring Village is being sorted before being re stored for easier access. Hopefully the car park will be emptied before the season starts! The remaining seats have been removed from MK2 TSO No 5219 and stored. The flooring has been removed. LFK No. SC14901 has been tidied, and been made more water tight. The interior of the shop (BR Goods Van No. 764478) has now completed and is now ready to be restocked. The underframe has been painted black. The body of the LNER 20t Brake Van has now been dismantled from the under frame. Priced that are required as templates for the new wood have been retained. The new rail delivered last week has been stored on the salmon wagon. Another delivery of rail is expected this week. More of the tram coach panels have been painted Will from the National Wagon Preservation Group was at the railway painting Coalfish MHA No. 394001.
