The temporary laid track between Horsehay and Dawley station and the barrow crossing has been taken up. This is to allow contractors on site to reverse the trackbed camber. This will further assist the new drainage system which was installed last year. The track will then be relaid ready for our Polar Express TM trains but also as the start of the relaying of track to Doseley. Shed road has now been jacked and packed, and connected to the new road crossing, allowing vehicles to access the shed. The new pedestrian crossing is now being built across the track, using brick paving. The new gate across the track has been installed. Restoration of BR class 03 D2051 continues in the shed, with the liners being removed from the cylinders. Cannock & Rugeley Colliery brake van No.2 continues to be worked on by its owner. Deep holes have been drilled into the veranda frames to secure it to the existing brackets and rebates have been cut for planking. It has all been dry fitted to check that it fits. All of the wood for the tram coach have been varnished. The baseplate, and the frame it will sit on has been painted black.
