Guard Experiences. Price £120 per person
(Unique amongst most Heritage Railways are our Guard's Experience Courses.
With only 1 participant on each guard experience, you will learn the responsibilities and knowledge of a passenger train guard. The guard will take you through their daily checks, such as brake tests, checking and changing lamps as well as how to dispatch the train and enter a platform
In your course, you could be responsible for up to two coaches and brake van and may be steam or diesel hauled.
Each participant can be accompanied by up to two guests for free and can add extra guests for £15 each who may travel on the train or Brake Van during the course.
Guard experiences are available on the following dates;
18th May - Steam (SOLD OUT)
8th June - Diesel Pacer Unit (Only one space left)
6th July - Diesel (Only one space left)
3rd August - Diesel (Only one space left)
7th September - Steam (Only one space left)
Please note that participants must be over 18 yrs
Your Experience Day starts at 09:30 at Spring Village and finishes there at approximately 14:00.
