HISTORY
|
Created in Cornwall
It was built by Peter Hallam, (believed to be around 1999-2001) in St Austell Cornwall. Originally constructed as a ¼ replica of a Manx Electric Railway tram but was completely rebuilt into the current configuration a few years later.
The tram lived in St Austell and ran on a portable track that the owner would take to local fairs and vehicle rallies to raise money for charity. It ran private charters for various organisations at the Launceston Steam Railway, Moseley Heritage Museum and at a Tramway exhibition in Bristol throughout the early 2000's. |

Journey up NorthThe owner eventually moved to Scotland and the tram moved with him. It eventually found itself at the private Blennerhasset Watermill Railway in Cumbria.
It was lightly used as a works shunter until its batteries became life-expired and the loco was parked up in its shed. When the owner of the railway passed away, the tram was sold and brought to TSR. It is planned for a full overhaul, where it will be re-numbered as TTT No. 2. |
CURRENT STATUSSince arriving at TSR, the loco has been inspected and stored undercover. The plan is for tests to take place in the next few weeks to determine if it is operational or requires an electrical overhaul.
Cosmetically, the tram will be overhauled with repairs to the wood work and roof, with the whole loco receiving a repaint into Telford Town Tramway livery. It is hoped that the tram will be ready to enter service in mid-2027. |
