British Rail Class 08
No. 08670
|
Our main steam locomotive throughout the 80's and 90's was Ironbridge No.3. This local engine helps tell the story of the industrial railways of Telford, however requires significant work to steam again.

CURRENT STATUSSince arriving inspections have taken place on the loco. New batteries have been fitted allowing the loco to start.
The biggest challenge is the fitting of the vaccum system to allow the loco to pull passenger services. Work has taken place on the cab, including fitting new windows, door lock as well as attention to the sun roof. The loco will receive further mechanical attention along with a full repaint before entering service. |
