We booked the Steam Half day for my father for his birthday. What an amazing experience. Highly recommended. Andy Fox (the driver) and Mark Burgess (the fireman) were absolutely brilliant. Very helpful, informative, friendly and very accomodating. I filmed the whole experience and was involved in every stage. My father thoroughly enjoyed his experience, despite not being a railway anorak. Rob (call me Jim) Palmer was also at hand for his knowledge of railways, assistance with making the experience great for everyone. I cannot thank Andy, Mark & Rob for a fantastic half day despite the early start!!! Guaranteed with the right people a good half day out.

We went on the santa special with four adults and children aged 3 & 7. It truly was special for all. Every member of staff were pleasant, and could not do enough for you. Answering anything asked and making a very special day. I cannot recommend this trip higher.

Just had a Driver Experience Course bought by my wife as a Christmas presant. Wonderful time on the footplate of 'The Rocket', thanks to Big Dave and Little Dave. Wish I lived nearer to help out. If you are in the area call in and give them your support.

Went on a driver experience day. Absolutely superb. A wonderful day with friendly people where I learnt a great deal and got to hill start a steam train. Enjoyed it so much I volunteered the next day. Thanks again.

I visited for the first time on Sunday. Everyone was very friendly and I enjoyed my brief visit. The steam tram was particularly fascinating as I have previously only seen a static one in a museum. The potential for the railway is enormous so I hope it all goes well. I will certainly be back again and would recommend a visit to anyone who has not been before./
