50-50 Club

50/50 Club

The purpose of the 50/50 Club is to raise funds for the restoration work which is carried out on the Telford Steam Railway site. Currently funds are being raised to restore our Lowmac which was built in 1951. The 2 photographs below show the Lowmac at Woking on the 1st September 1981 and the Lowmac today at TSR. Essentially the running gear is in good order and the main work required is to replace the wooden bed, service the brakes and repaint.

How does the it work ?

The Club operates a Quarterly Draw, tickets for which are £3.00 each. ( Each person can buy up to a maximum of 3 tickets ).

A draw is then made quarterly and the winners share in 50% of the total takings, with the remainder being donated to the Trust funds for the restoration work.

This has been shown to be quite a successful way of raising much needed finance and we hope you will be able to support us by downloading and completing the 50/50 Club Standing Order Form and try your luck at the next draw.
